This is a general labor summer position. The job duties include mowing, string trimming, yard waste pick-up, park cleanup, maintaining flower beds, and light to medium lifting. Assist the DPW Staff as needed with various other duties as assigned. A clean driving record is preferred and a current driver’s license is required. Applicants MUST be 16 years of age or older. This position requires steel-toed shoes, and the following physical activities may apply.
• Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one work site to another • Adjusting or moving objects up to 60 pounds in all directions. • Repeating motions may include the arms, legs, wrists, back, hands and/or fingers. • Operating motor vehicles or equipment. • Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
This is a 40-hour per week summer position with paid holidays and no other benefits. The hours are Monday-Thursday from 6:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. and Friday from 6:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Interested applicants must submit a resume and cover letter and complete the Village of Middleville employment application.
