The members of the Housing Commission attend monthly meetings, review meeting packets prior to each meeting, consider and act on finances, building and grounds maintenance, staff, activities, and policies, all while adhering to HUD guidelines to ensure the longevity of Lincoln Meadow Apartments. Further in-depth training is available. A Housing Commission member must reside within the Village of Middleville limits.

The Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) members attend meetings as scheduled, review meeting packets prior to each meeting, consider and act on variance and appeal applications, and interpret zoning ordinance text. ZBA meets on the third Thursday of January and July, and other times throughout the year on an as-needed basis. ZBA operates under the Zoning Enabling Act. A member of the ZBA must become familiar with these laws. Attendance at a training seminar can be paid for by the Village.
A Zoning Board of Appeals member must reside within the Village of Middleville limits.

The members of the Downtown Development Authority (DDA) attend monthly meetings, review meeting packets prior to each meeting, consider and act on plans to enhance the downtown district, promote economic growth, and foster new opportunities for development. The DDA Board operates under the Michigan Recodified Tax Increment Financing Act 57 of 2018. A member of the DDA Board must become familiar with these laws. Training opportunities will be made available and paid for by the DDA.
A DDA Board Member must have an interest in property in the Downtown Development District (resident or business owner/manager/employee of a business in the District).
